Introduction
In collaboration with De Groot Installatie Groep, STULZ has installed a system for adiabatic humidification in the Reinier de Graaf hospital in Delft. STULZ was responsible for the delivery, installation and commissioning of the CAREL humiFog adiabatic humidification system.

The challenges
For a new additional building, the Reinier de Graaf hospital was looking for an energy-friendly and accurate humidification method. In addition to these requirements, it was also important that the solution complied with the hygienic regulations that apply to hospitals. An important side note was that it had to be considered that this should not be at the expense of maintenance costs.
The solution
To meet the above requirements, the CAREL humiFog was chosen for the new building of the Reinier de Graaf hospital in Delft. A complete, frequency controlled high pressure (75 bar) adiabatic humidification system that is hygienically safe without having to take extra measures such as adding biocides or other chemicals. That is precisely why the humiFog was chosen.
The humiFog is easy to install thanks to a custom-made spraying rack and is easy to integrate with the current BMS (Building Management System) because the built-in controller is already standard equipped with, among other things, operating and fault reports and various communication protocols. In order to guarantee hygiene, the humiFog has automatic flushing and emptying cycles. In addition, the frequency inverter ensures precise control and efficient energy and water consumption.
