Privacy Statement – STULZ Benelux

STULZ Groep B.V. and STULZ Belgium (hereinafter jointly referred to as “STULZ”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.
This privacy statement explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal data when you visit our websites or contact us. The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), the Dutch GDPR Implementation Act, and the Belgian Law of 30 July 2018 on the Protection of Natural Persons with regard to the Processing of Personal Data.

2. Collection of personal data
We only process personal data that you provide to us voluntarily or that is necessary for the use of our websites and services.
2.1 Contact forms
When you fill out a contact form, we collect the information you provide (such as your name, email address, company name, and message content). This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry or request. Processing is based on our legitimate interest in being able to handle contact requests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
2.2 Job applications via “Werken Bij”
When applying for a position through https://werkenbij.stulz-benelux.com, you are asked to provide personal data such as your CV, cover letter, contact details, and employment history. These data are used exclusively to process your application and communicate with you during the recruitment process.
Access to your information is restricted to HR personnel and relevant managers. Your data will not be shared with third parties without your consent. Application data will be retained for a maximum of 4 weeks after the procedure ends, unless you consent to a longer retention period of up to 1 year for future opportunities.
3. Technical data and website analytics
When you visit our websites, certain technical data may be automatically collected, such as:
- Date and time of your visit
- Pages viewed
- Referring URL
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Anonymized IP address
This data is not linked to individual visitors and is used solely for system administration, statistical analysis, and website optimization.
4. Use of Google services
4.1 Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) to gain insights into website usage. This service is only activated after you have given consent for analytical cookies (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). IP anonymization is enabled.
Google may process data outside the EU. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google and use the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission for international data transfers.
You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
4.2 Google Ads
We use Google Ads to display relevant advertisements based on your browsing behavior. Cookies may be used to record your interactions and interests. This processing takes place only with your consent. You can manage your ad preferences via your Google account.
5. Social media plugins
Our websites may include social media buttons or plugins (for example, LinkedIn, Facebook, or X (Twitter)). When you use these, the relevant platform may receive information about your visit, which may also involve data transfers to third countries (such as the United States).
STULZ has no control over how these platforms process your data. Please refer to the respective platform’s privacy policy for more information. If you do not wish your visit to be linked to your profile, please log out of your social media account before visiting our website.
6. Your rights under the GDPR
You have the following rights under the GDPR:
- Right of access – to know what personal data we process and why.
- Right to rectification – to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) – to have your data deleted where legally possible.
- Right to restriction of processing – in certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability – to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
- Right to object – to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
- Right to withdraw consent – where processing is based on your consent.

7. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Examples include encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure servers, access control, and internal security procedures.
8. Data sharing and processors
We do not sell or rent out your personal data. Your data may be shared with trusted service providers (such as hosting companies or recruitment software providers) that process personal data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).
We may also share data when required by law or upon request from competent authorities.
9. International data transfers
If personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we ensure that adequate safeguards are in place, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or an equivalent level of data protection in the receiving country.
10. Retention periods
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Data received via contact forms or email are typically deleted within 12 months, unless further follow-up is required.
